Privacy notice
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data Untwine collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Untwine is a trading name of Célula Dourada – Consultoria e Eventos, Unipessoal Lda., a company registered in Portugal (Corroios, Greater Lisbon; company and VAT number PT513362142). We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
- When you book a call: your name, email address, company name and, if you choose to give them, your company website, industry, team size, the tools you use and what you'd like to discuss.
- During the call: we may use an AI notetaker to transcribe the conversation, so we can focus on you rather than on taking notes. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us and we won't.
- When you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp: your email address or phone number, and whatever you choose to write or tell us.
- If you become a client: the contact and billing details needed to run the engagement and issue invoices.
This website does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device.
- Visit statistics: we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you and doesn't track you across other websites.
- Our Google ads: if you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, the ad's click reference is passed to the booking form. If you then book a call, we tell Google Ads that the ad led to a booking. We don't share your name or email with Google for this.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To arrange and prepare for your call, and to reply to you: because you asked us to, as a step before a possible contract, and in our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To understand how the website and our ads perform: our legitimate interest in measuring, in aggregate, which pages and ads are useful.
- To transcribe calls: our legitimate interest in keeping an accurate record of what we discussed. You can object at any time.
- To deliver our services and invoice clients: to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations (for example, accounting and tax).
We never sell your data and never use it for anything unrelated to working with you.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of trusted providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Cal.com | Booking calls |
| Google (Workspace) | Email, calendar and video calls (Google Meet) |
| Fireflies.ai | Call transcription |
| Cloudflare | Hosting this website |
| Umami | Website visit statistics, without cookies |
| Google (Ads) | Measuring which ads lead to bookings |
If you message us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms. If you'd rather not use WhatsApp, email works just as well.
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the safeguards the law requires, such as the UK and EU adequacy arrangements for the US or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and call notes where we don't go on to work together: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement, and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example, invoices are kept for the period set by Portuguese tax law).
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt) in Portugal.
Your business data, when you're a client
When we work on your systems, we act on your instructions and only access what the job needs. Those terms, including a data processing agreement, are set out in our contract with you rather than in this notice.
Changes
If we change how we use personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
